Psalm 25 Poem by Parker Perrella

Psalm 25

Lord, I trust in you,
For who else can deliver me? *
The distresses of my heart increase-
I am alone and afflicted,
Lord, bring me out of my sufferings.
I am weak and wounded,
When will you rescue me?
I wait for you, God,
Sometimes impatiently-
But in holy fear
I take refuge under your mighty wings.

I cling to you,
Yet I am ever held in the comfort of your embrace.**
I run to you,
Yet am ever pursued by unending grace.
Lord, I turn to you,
The God of my salvation-
Faithful now and forever-
For all of my days.
