Protruded Stomach Poem by Edward Kofi Louis

Protruded Stomach

Why are you hiding your face from me lately?
Is it because of your protruded stomach? !
For a bird told me the news last night and,
I am here to meet you personally.

Deep sleep fell on us and we slumbered on the bed of love,
But i am here tonight to see you like a child's prayer;
So give me ear when i speak,
For that which was hidden is now exposed to the masses.
