Promises Of Tomorrow Poem by Madhumita Ghosh

Promises Of Tomorrow

Tossing a crumpled dusky blanket away
Tomorrow stretches
And smiles a happy yawn
Warms its palms
On a breathing coffee cup
Sunlight kissing its feet
Weaves yarns of blossoming specks of eternity
I talk to Yesterday
Of our secrets so closely guarded
The door bell rings
The knocker knocks
Today rushes in with haste
Tomorrow is left lazing in the sunshine of hope.
