There are seven promises i know
In the colors of the rainbow

Violet stands for the promise
Of heirdom to the throne of Christ

The promise of help when troubles grow
Is in vivid shades of indigo

the promise of love that's ever true
Can be found in shades of blue

Green is for the promise that
We shall live and know no death

Yellow is for the Spirit's friendship
Who holds us when we fall or slip

Promise of guidance when things are strange
Joins the rainbow in streaks of orange

Salvation from sin by the blood Christ shed
Wraps up the rainbow in shades of red

All these promises and many more
Can be found in God's Living Word
And of these things we can be sure
For God's promises stand firm and true
