Promises - Poem by May Namoc

Promise me one day you’ll find
That love that keeps me so alive
I’m sorry it can never be
I’m sorry that it wasn’t me

Promise me one day we’ll be
The greatest friends that world has seen
Even if there is regret
I promise that I won’t forget

Promise me one day there’ll be
A life without any jealousy
You’re the greatest person alive
You’re the one that makes me survive

I promise you this
That with my last kiss
My love for you will never fade
