Promises Poem by Saul hernandez

Promises

Rating: 4.0

Driven by her promises.
That only brought despare and obscurity.
Blinded by her radiant smile that dazed him.
Her single touche would cause different sensations.
Sensations which can't be depicted only felt.
That would eventually drive him to a sedation.
That didn't let him see the anguished she was causing.

It started with a simple 'hello'.
That eventually crept into the unfathomable part of him.
He wasn't interested but little by little she trapped him.
By the way she expressed her self.
Fascinated by her simpelest actions to the most complex, he eventually gave in.
Every day she would make him feel valuable.
Making promises that couldnt be kept.
Telling him how happy she was in his presence.
Saying things he wanted to hear.
He would believe every single word with out hesitation.
Yes gullible and naive, that wouldn't listen to reason.
She would talk about for ever.
Making it sound feasible.
But for ever has come and gone.
She ended everything with such an ease.
It swept everthing like a breeze.
Leaving only loneliness.
That caved an emptiness.
That could only be filled with her presence.
It seamed like it never occurred.
Like those endless kisses at night never existed.
The only witness was the moon.
But everything banished like the morning mist.
Leaving no trace of what ones had had occurred.
