Prologue Poem by J.M Berger

Prologue

i want this to succeed
you know i really wanna pull this off
i want this one to work
cause it's all that i've got
we gotta make the pieces fit
we're gonna get the phrasing right
we're in the groove
synch things up real fine
gonna craft melodies like magic
bring the rhythm like it's an earthquake
i know sometimes maybe i come off like a jerk but
i'm real interesting (endearing) i promise if you give me a shot
i'm not an ego-maniac
just a plain old maniac
a freak with a dream
to make songs we can sing
and i'll play my guitar
till it's on its last string, motherfucker
yes i will
and we'll play
