The conclusion to each day

And everything i say.

That way my heart wont break.
Into a million and one pieces
that my heart just cant take.

The locket she once held
Close to her heart,
Now slips from its clasp,
And into her palm.

The soldier stood and faced God,
Which must always come to pass.
He hoped his shoes were shining,
Just as brightly as his brass.

God saw you getting weaker,
so he did what he thought was best.
He came and stood beside you
and he whispered 'Come to rest.'

Echoing through my heart I hear your screams
As you stand your ground, trying to face your dreams
And I wonder do my tears melt holes in your skin?
Does my self destruction tell you where I've been?

Who put God in charge?
What the hell were you thinking?
You screwed over this world,
And society is sinking.
