Problem Tonight Poem by Joshua Bantum

Problem Tonight

Its at the point when I'm afraid to write anything.
I see now, before future times,
the faults, weaknesses of every sentence possible for me to create,
and that failure
terrifies me.

There is no courage in facing weaknesses, instead only in over coming it.
So facing this wall presents me with hopelessness.

Seeing something requires little awareness, rather not seeing,
requires many layers of belligerence confluenting truth,
and that is the stasis of any generation,
of my own,
brothers, sisters alike.

And so my fear of truth has again out run me, I,
Achilles, and it
the tortoise i sit upon,
us always sharing a common ground

Just the ground.
