Probably Standing Somewhere In The Rain Poem by Mark Nichols

Probably Standing Somewhere In The Rain

You and I
Had a good thing going
Could have gone
On and on

I don't know why it had to end
When it could have been
Like a holiday
Now you're probably standing somewhere in the rain

You and I
Tripped into each other
Dorm room window came
Heaven
All our inhibitions
Screaming high and dry

I don't know why it couldn't have been
What I was to you?
What you were to them
Now you're probably standin' somewhere in the rain
