Probability Poem by Luce Darwin

I believe that there are worlds
where we touch,
where we grew up together
playing in fields,
and the best,
where you love me.
I believe it's in my dreams
that these worlds poke through
the skin of this lonely world,
this unfortunate side of
the scales of probability,
and just for a moment,
I have what I want,
and I am fulfilled.
Because I believe this,
I have to believe
that there are worlds
where have never loved you,
and if I had a choice,
between those worlds
and this one,
I would pack my bags,
and leave,
without another thought.
