Prized Possession Poem by Ariel Miles

Prized Possession

Rating: 5.0

I would never let you go
I hold you too close
I care for you
& you're stressing it
You are my prized possession
Could it be more clear
that my love is for real
& everytime I look into your eyes
I want to kiss you
& as soon as we depart
I already miss you
You are my prized possession
You are th reason I wake up
You are the reason I have faith
& it's crazy
that I fall in love all over again
everytime I see your face
As I took a minute to breathe
suddenly it came to me
that the truth shall set me free
Honey Please
You are my prized possession
I couldn't love you anymore
But
it's when I really can't have you
that I want you even more
So now my mind is in a daze
because
I realize that I'VE played games
& all along
I was wrong
when I blamed you
So... you already realized
that my love is true
& how much I would kill to be with you
& the games that I claimed you played
were only in my mind
& you put up with my BS
all of the time
You love me so much
that you really never stressed it
That's why you are my prized possession
because you put up with everything I do
the good, the bad, the dumb, the cruel
That's what first attracted me to you
& now honestly
I've fallen in love with you

This is so beautiful Ariel, but a possession they are not. We cannot possess anyone, only share each other imo, but I know what you mean, They are yours completely and you are theirs. Your poem is a beautiful confessional commitment to love for sure. The best Prize wining poem indeed. Love is just as you describe. Almost unbearable when you are apart. I know it well. Smiling anyway, cus it's our third week of good weather here in cornland and it's Fathers Day and the beach is calling. Have a great day. Tai
