Prisoner Poem by Megan Jonson

Prisoner

The sweat drips down their faces
As they slowly suffocate
Bluing flesh and jagged bones
This is all they'll ever know
Because before long
We all are taken
We are already foresaken
The pain is all they feel
It's all they know is real
Can't be saved
Forever enslaved
In their minds engraved
Is pain
