Prisms Of Ink Poem by Samantha Campbell

Prisms Of Ink

Taste the Wet
of my Ambition
let the Authentic Oral
of my Color Penetrate your Core

Full of Wails and Woes my Heart
is Secluded seeking Satisfaction
but Thriving in the Misery of Solitude

Reflecting my Emotions
Yet squeezing Pains Existence
Wishing to Fill Such a Void

The Flow of Desires
of Thoughts
of Heartaches
Rush Forward
S-p-l-a-s-h
S/p/i/l/l/i/n/g
onto the
Empty Canvas

Penned Intimately
Releasing emotion
before it Consumes me

As now my Blue Words
Refract Prisms Of Ink

Liquidating my own Soul's Refrains
I dwell in a place for the fools
lost in sorrow were lovers and losers
lament long and wallow

I open 10,000 eyes to you

As I Expressed
in Word and Deed
the Burning Depths
of my Need

Heart full
of Embers
that Burned
and Flamed
like the Sun

Slowly lay Dying
by the Wayside

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
I used the line 'I open 10,000 eyes to you'' from a movie called Beautiful Ohio actually from a poem in the movie. That one line inspired my work thanks for reading and reviewing.

The poem from the movie is below...

Courage, Love
The quiet I keep on the thin path
to the meadow is the hardest.
The sound of your talk below
and wind in the trees
is an oracle, our future now.
I'm caught beneath the tilt of maples
and cry of difference between
ten-thousand things;
leaf and stone,
wind and grass,
Me, You.
How could I live without you my love,
even for an afternoon?
When the sun comes up
I open ten-thousand eyes to you,
when it sets I open ten thousand more.
I am remembering and watching you at the same time.
Do not miss me when I am gone, my true and only friend,
do not even think of me, I could not bear to know it
