Priorities In The Light Poem by Terrance Tracy

Priorities In The Light

Rating: 4.8

Where has our priorities gone awry?
To what end will they display?
How far is far it matters not to those out of the light.
Wasted years secretly hidden in tears rooted out by eternity fear.
Darkness cannot comprehend the light I am told
Be bold and walk into the light receive your sight before you disappear as a flame sequestered by the dampness of a wintry night.
A wisp of smoke lost to the light of day is all that will be left of priorities gone astray.
I am the truth; I am the way walk in my light. This plea I did hear as I was drowning in my world of delusion to the point of confusion.
Lost as I was I grasped the hand and here I make my stand.
Forty years have passed every day requesting grace that is freely
given for yesterdays bad decisions. No rules required just trust in Him is the key to change our priorities into his light that will become your plight.

Inspired by John Donne No Man is an Island. If the sea washes away one clod Europe would be the less. I was a clod of dirt before I came into the light of Christ.
