Price Paid Poem by Jessie Peter

Price Paid

Every time my head throbs,
i realize its because of my carelessness.
For every time your head throbbed,
i realize its because of my carelessness.
Every time i fell,
told myself, should walk carefully.
Every time you fell,
told yourself, now she'll rise fully.
How selfish i am,
saying thank you does not do justice to what you have been.
What can i give you when everything that i have is given by you.
All i ask is use me,
so that,
i may be able to bring close the others like me.
A humble request,
so that,
more can be at your banquet.
