Pretty Girl Poem by Kristy Morris

Pretty Girl

Rating: 4.3

Pretty Girl why are you so blue?
Is it because he left you?
Pretty Girl why the frown?
Did he let you down?
Pretty Girl why do you guard your heart?
Are you afraid it will fall apart?

He didn't kiss you goodnight,
He was emotionally out of sight.
You fought so hard to make him notice you,
But his love was blind and hard to find.
So you began to hate yourself in your own mind.

He didn't value you as a treasure,
So you missed out on the good time pleasure.
You've sought attention through so many people and things,
But none of these make your heart sing.

You miss him, your lonely, you're wondering if you will ever feel whole.
You feel like he ripped out your soul.

Pretty Girl there is hope for you!
There is a beautiful light shining through.
You're beautiful, smart, strong and brave;
With such a big heart that gives and gave.

You have the key to unlock the chains of pain you've carried.
It's time to move on and let your past be buried.
You have hurt enough, now its time to play rough.
Tell your doubts and fears goodbye and stop asking, 'why.'

Each second of the day is a new start for you.
Breathe and start anew.
