I'm home now
pretending that everything is ok

I go to sleep
pretending that tomorrow will be a good day

I wake up
pretending everything is ok

I go to work
pretending to smile, life is good and I'm fine

If I pretend long enough
it will become reality
I won't miss you anymore
I won't need you anymore
I won't want you anymore
I'll be able to smile for real
and maybe even dance again someday
I won't need to pretend anymore

Or so I keep pretending....
