Pressures Of Passion Poem by Steffi Webster

Pressures Of Passion

The tears of love so often spent,
Starving comments heart to rent.
Beauty’s smile a volunteer
Invite hope and passion near.
Responsibility so imposed
Secrets, trust are all disclosed.
With caged hearts keys uncut
One to give and that’s enough.
So when the hand has dealt one key
And nailed the colours to the tree,
Pray for seed of love to flower
Bear fruit and share in nature’s bower.
Lust, love, passion, romance,
Entwined within a cryptic dance,
Moves lap over in flowing rhyme,
Weaving and whirling throughout time.

But who is the key holder?
Who breaks the cage?
Who has the beauty
To beckon the rage?

Age old friendship rent asunder,
Only now can watch and wonder.

More than one key touch a life,
Tears and anger, sorrow rife.
My decision to make only.
Wrong one and you die.

Lonely.
