Premonition Poem by DEEPAK KUMAR PATTANAYAK

Premonition

Rating: 5.0

The dawn is yet;
To usher in
The moon afar
And the only company
Is the morning star
On the lonely sky
Now comes the wonderful hour
Mists mystify
Earth’s waking
And sleeping hour
The restless birds chirping
In the tree tops higher
Twittering songs of praise
Offering to God prayer so rare
Now no moon sighted over
Only the flicker of a gas flares
Far out in the sea and air
Lo! The dawn is here, soul cheers
And who can say
The wondrous charms
The dawn bestowing on us so true and rare………

Right from the title, a lovely piece on early dawn seen in a gossamer dream, and painted with a beautiful brush.
