Predator Poem by Derrick Andrews

Predator

Eyes, ever scanning,
Claws always out,
Mind, forever planning,
To become more 'devout',
Crawling cautiously through,
Tall bushes and grass,
Eyes a pale, light blue,
Silent while making a pass,
Revolving slowly around me,
Though I am unaware,
I'm unable to flee,
From your malicious stare,
Those eyes, ever scanning,
Claws, fiercly out,
Your evil, cruel planning,
Gives us reason to pout,
You snarl, show your fangs,
Releasing a roar,
From the bushes you sprang,
In my back, your teeth bore,
And yet those eyes,
Show such pleasure,
At my cries,
To such measure,
That I fear your next attack,
Now I scrutinize the ground,
Searching still for a track,
Though none have I found...
