Precious Corral Of Your Heart Poem by Nalini Jyotsana Chaturvedi

Precious Corral Of Your Heart

The deep red coral
of your heart
Is so precious
I cannot part

Every time your
Dear heart bleeds
Ruby of drops
I hate to greet

I can see
the inevitable change
From vibrant red
To colourless flush
It's the thorns within
Thy flesh they crush

Why did you
Have to go through
All the hurt
And all those Blues?

I know all pains
That you harbour in
With down cast eyes
Salty tears, you try to win

It's the rawness
of heart and soul
Fear of getting hurt
Just once more
All the hatred
So hard to control

Too many times
Too many ways
Too many folks
Have relentlessness
encroached
And destroyed
Life's gains

So now!

if your Brush,
Colours me dark
I know that is all
You'r left to mark

Other colours
Of your palette,
Have been used up
Trying hard to paint
Your dreams,
your loves.
