Precaution Poem by Nellie Isabelle Steward Cooper

Precaution

The spider has a secret
guideline to assist-
but of what grand puzzle
does this consist?

what is this mystery so complex?

a construction without fear
or dread
the spider presses on ahead

an effort in diligence is woven fine
with each and every exotic line

there's no way to figure it all out
but here is part of what it's about

tis true and often it is said
a spider falls not into its own web
