We pray to God
Not to compel Him
To do our will
But just to tell Him
On bent knees
To bend His will
To favour us
His humble servants
We pray to God
Not to change
His course
But to arrange
Things in such a way
That what we need
Is done with speed
We pray to God
Not to question
The wisdom
Of His action
But just to suggest
That He should adjust
His aims
With our claims
