Praise God

Praise God for the stretched out holiday
This time of year provides
The gathering together with our blessed loved ones
The sharing of gifts and gaiety
The catching up of news past and present
The love shown between our daughters and our sons

So much have we to be thankful for
In our pause of true reflection
God you have been so good to me
To watch the children's children play
And think "Wow! Time sure flies! "
And then to think upon eternity

What direction will each one go
In the choices of their lives
How much do they really think of God
We know that in each heart
Although unto us is hidden
What value do they give to God's Word

I pray dear Father orchestrate
The means whereby they learn
That everything exists because of You
And find the treasure chest of faith
That can change a sinful heart
And send their praises God
Back unto you....praise God!
