Power Highway Poem by Ananta Madhavan

Power Highway

A road-less land, it waited desolate
For Romans, but none came.
A native engineer designed
A highway out of steel, in sections,
A ramrod laid across the land.

The road was ready now,
But it was shunned
By all but soldiers.
Straight across the land they marched,
The Roman soldiers.

A beautiful poem with indepth meaning. When it was desolated, none used but when road was built, people were kept away. As good as for whom it was made they were deprived of it. So sad! but it happens.... Thanks for sharing.
