Postscript From Ghibli

Libya! Weep Libya!
Thy sly invaders smooch thy defender
Thy oppressor masks his crusader
Eye wells cried dry, mouths filled with peals of empty laughter
When ego puffs personality takes cover
When libido strays, devil's peace reigns all is in asunder
Still life goes on

Libya! Oh Libya!
The great green desert is deserted
Milking the blood of children she birthed
Ghibli lays still; still the glowering sky is shattered
Cyrene's serenity is stained and her sanity is scalded
Though her hymen remains her virginity is desecrated
And life goes on

Libya! Dear Libya!
Together fend off our mutual fiends
Dig deep to re-distill our filial cells
When strife drowns prosperity sails
If the head strays
Throats bulge, brows crease and depravity swell
We swim, we drown, we fly, we crash posterity tells
Pray, life goes on

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
The bloodshed and life's cut short all for one bad man to be replaced by another bad man is a thing that has to stop.Killing, wars and anarchy and we say we are CIVILIZED.

This is a nice one showing the sympathy of the writer to the people of Libya from his own perspective
