Possible...?

Never had I hoped
For the impossible
Never for wings
Nor for fins
Never had i dreamed
Of measuring
The ocean's depth
Nor the earth's breadth

Nor did I ever expect
The impossible...

All that I hoped
Was to be treated
As human as possible

All that I hoped
Was a loving glance
That would bring me shine

All that I hoped
Was a warm touch
That would melt me

All that I hoped
Was to see the earth
Filled with love

All that I hoped
Was compassion as deep
As the oceans

All that I hoped
Was a sky full of
Cheer and peace

Never had I hoped
For the impossible
Never for wings
Nor for fins
Never had i dreamed
Of measuring
The ocean's depth
Nor the earth's
Length and breadth...

We are as clouds that veil the midnight moon;
How restlessly they speed, and gleam, and quiver,
Streaking the darkness radiantly!--yet soon
