Poor Man’s Love Poem by Prasad Natarajan

Poor Man’s Love

Vibrant colors of red have engulfed the vision,
Chocolate wrappers with silky skin,
Heart shaped world it seems, a little overrated,
Cute softie teddies roll their eyes, spin, spin,

Vibrant colors of red have engulfed the vision,
Sparkling heavy stones, those diamonds forever,
Champagne fizzle in seconds, a little passing moment,
Candle light dinning over towers, lights go blur, blur,

Vibrant colors of red have engulfed the vision,
For the hearts that bulge, for the ones that break,
To care and to be cared, the essence of true love,
The others are gimmicks, wake up; shake, shake,

Vibrant colors of red have engulfed the vision,
Those red roses, tight hugs, kiss on the cheek,
Words not needed, no questions asked, no answers,
Love is about simple true actions, so to speak, speak.
