Polite Words Poem by Joseph Narusiewicz

Polite Words

Rating: 5.0

We become the past so easily
The sweet rose out of ground
Existential eyes without sky
Without forever

These seasons coming and going
An old letter
Some old photos
Vague memories of the superficial

I thought you loved me?
I did but that was a month ago
I don’t want to talk about it
You need to move on

Modern man lost in the universe
So free
So cold
Goodbye in polite words
