Going beyond what is right or proper because of an
excess of self-confidence or arrogance
: overstepping due bounds (as of propriety or courtesy)
: taking liberties
: too confident especially in a way that is rude
: too bold or forward; taking too much for granted;
showing overconfidence, arrogance, or effrontery



With Sharp Fangs
It Delivers A Bite
The Dose Does Damage
At Full Strike

It Seeps Inside
Slowly At First
Then The Subtle Effect
Heats To Worse …

… Closes The Mind
Blinds The View
Coils Down Deep
Then Jumps To Conclude!

It Appears As A Rash
That Itches and Burns
Assuming Great Airs
As It Goes Out Of Turn

Ignores Valid Facts
And Reasonable Opinion
It Uses No Tact
When Spewing Out Venom

It Sheds Its Skin
Too Small For Its Size
Deaf Are Its Ears
Slits Are Its Eyes

Can’t Be Taught
Ignorance Is Bliss
Even Before Its Rattle …
You’ll Hear Its Hiss

Injected By Pride
Infected By Foolish
The Symptom Trait
Is Really Mulish

The Know-It-All Knowledge
That Knew Nothing At All
Didn’t Have Sense To Hear
When True Wisdom Called

Don’t Be Mislead
It’s Quite Dangerous
A Remorseless Slayer
With Notions Noxious

Once It Spreads
From Veins It Bled
From Heart To Head
… You Wind Up Dead

So, To Stop The Poison
Please Take Note
To Treat The Toxin
Here’s An Antidote:

… Respect For Others
And Real Courtesy
For Their Choice of Serum
To Choose Liberty

And Not Assume Falsely
Pre-Judge or Prescribe
‘Cause Presumptuousness’ Poison
Potently Paralyze
