Point Me Toward The Winter (Confused Thoughts) Poem by Mark Money

Point Me Toward The Winter (Confused Thoughts)

she had a date with deity.
he might have had second thoughts but didn't show it.
what he did say stayed locked up in his head- -
he knew he had been alone too long.

'just point me toward the winter
just help me catch my breath.
if i don't get away from you
i just might freeze to death.'

she was coached by a heartthrob but dropped too soon
drawn by a burning desire waiting somewhere else.
confused thoughts rattle like waxed paper
she was coached by a heartache.

'point me toward the winter. send me someplace cold.
now he just don't have the time to have someone to hold.
point me toward the winter. send me perfume scent
now i just don't have a clue or reason why he went...'

she was coached by a heartache
she wanders.......
