Poetry Poem by Edward Veilleux

Poetry

Poetry doesn't have to rhyme.
I can't stress that enough,
All these writers who push so hard,
just to find a word that fits,
you are just creating a pretty poem,
with no backbone to stand it up.
Your poetry will never carry weight,
if the meaning has been lost.
Use it as a medium my friends,
express the conflicts within yourself.
But never limit it's use to that,
it's boundaries can be endless,
if your imagination can keep up.
Poetry with meaning is what is beautiful,
and I can never stress that enough.
