I've seen poems in every form
No one can say they have a norm
Poems reflect those who gave pen
They show the lives of women and men
They speak for us when we can't find the words
Like their songs speak for the birds
And no identical styles will you find
Each is a different as it's writer's mind
As for me and the poems I write
I write to bring feelings into the light
My style is simple, my words always rhyme
And if they were songs they'd keep perfect time
It's the message they speak that gives them their pride
You just have to look and see what's inside
Sometimes I'm upfront, my message is clear
And others are quiet and harder to hear
So just take a look, if you like what you see
Then surely you'll like the poet in me
