Poetic Freedom Poem by Sandra Feldman

Poetic Freedom

Rating: 5.0

"Out of my way! "
Said the Poet,
To the World
I'm having a holiday
Every poem I write
Is my right
To express what
I feel,
To none will I kneel,
To none will I heal
Freedom was born
That day!
For a poet has to say
What comes from the heart
There is no other way.

Very true. Without poetic freedom a poet can't give his best. It should flow from the heart. Loved it. Thanks for sharing.

A poet is inspired to write. He writes what he sees, hears and feels. He owes no one nothing. Freedom.

Poetic freedom actually has 2 keys, having the right to express is the one key....inspiration is the second, I comparing it to love, we have the right to love but we must be inspired with warmth an passion towards the reciepient, your poem says the same thing but in poetic charm, well that is what poetry really is is t it? .....to take a common truth and mold if in meter and poetic pixie dust, great job Sandra! !
