Poet's Mind Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

Poet's Mind

I wrote and rewrote
But attention was not caught
I sincerely thought
And deliberately fought

It was poet's mind
But could not find
The imagination
To capture in relation

I thought of far seas
And here she was
Almost waiting
And waving

Was she my world?
I was not told
I have asked her number of times
She has not replied any time

"Your heart is in my palm"
Once she told when was calm
I smiled at her innocence
But I loved her presence

She seized mind forcefully
I was staring helplessly
I know she may disappear
If I try to go near
