Poems Revised For Fellow Eckists # 5 - A Question, Some Questions

A QUESTION, SOME QUESTIONS

Of
What
Value
Is it
To serve
The self alone?
What
Is to be won
Or gained?

Who
Dares pretend
To be
In complete
And utter
Control
Of his own destiny?
Who dares claim
He is never
Subject
To error?

Often
The weight
Of wealth
Of fame
Of power
Seem tempting
BUT
Is their
Acquisition
Worth the price?

How many illusions
Have we in this world?
How many desires?
How many false desires?

How many times
Must one be led
To the only jewels
This world offers -
How long
Must one hold
Loneliness?
Emptiness?

Never are things
What they seem
To be -
But
One fact is real -
All things exist in GOD
And IT
In them.

This fact alone
Should be encouraging
And lead one
To the HU
The sound that saves
And serves!
