Poems Are Like Buildings Poem by Cynthia Buhain-baello

Poems Are Like Buildings

Poems are like buildings
Some are strong and some are frail,
And these when gauged with thorough reading
Some may succeed or some may fail.

Poems are like buildings
With a structured Form or base,
Thoughts like blocks may stand with Meaning
Firm lines, solid, flow with grace.

Poems are like buildings
The roof's a Title, covers well.
Unified thoughts may somehow bring
The Impact of message the writers tell.

Poems are like buildings
Some have beauty that lasts through Time,
Like rustic structures still existing
They may touch with Meter or Rhyme.
