Poem About A Poem Poem by Jose Duran

Poem About A Poem

This is a poem about a poem
Sentence about a sentence
Ink about ink
And whiteout about white

here is something that never goes sore
To repeat the words that matter more
To repeat the words that matter more

Mutabaruka said dis poem
will continue in your mind
But I just want my poem
to ask first And be kind

To stand the test of time
To settle a great emotion with rhyme
She so beautiful it should be a crime
And She among pennies is a dime

Yes it's a she a girl
A female, a sister
A mother
About to give birth to a scholar

Who will ultimately be a mother
Of a knowledge curator
She is the girl at the bar
The girl that took and passed the bar

She is playmate of the year
Maya Angelo, oprah
And Helen Keller

She is many things but except a bore
One that knows how to observe
And knows how to keep score

She is a maiden
in a fairytale
Snow white about
to meet her male

She no one can clone
Remember she will ask nicely
If in your mind she can roam

And then call it her home
She is this poem
She is this poem

Now it's time for
the poem that's due
One that no one
can copy or sue
Ok here I go please don't boo

Roses are red
Violets are blue
Snow white now be wed
She says thank you
