Pledge Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

Pledge

Rating: 5.0

Do you ever think nature has its own music?
Love spell along with thrilling magic
Enough tolerance with donor’s quality
Everything has its own function and utility

Does nature demand more or ask anything?
Always useful and to offer something
We fail to give even two words of solace
Tree’s shed has significance but not that of palace

Throw the stone and get the fruit
Cut them from roots whenever it suits
Do we ever cut our legs and roam?
Nothing is left now to monouver in room

Nature has remained cool and calm
We have grown in stature like tree palm
We can offer only hate and pain
Nature’s sacrifice may go in vain

We are emitting poison all over
Breaking the barrier and loosing cover
Destruction all over for little gain
No major move and concern remain

We may not remain to show our face
Loss of lives or even extinction of race
Loosing the grip and inviting holocaust
Nothing will be left even if doubts cast

We may survive but not the generation
They may not find answer to question
Death, disease and deformity may rule
Why are we then making our selves fool?

Do we not want glorious past to remain?
Preference of today should be worry main
We can’t avoid enforceable future
Can’t we take pledge to protect the nature?

'Can’t we take pledge to protect the nature'........if the pledge is to preserve the beauty of nature, it is very kind...but if pledge refer to a promise, well i think it is optional...nice piece dear..hope this commnt will fit the subject...

we don't know that nature has its own music this message should go to all the bush fires, they should know that they kill small creatures

But still a ruby kindles in the vine And many a garden by the water blows. I, too, love Nature, but as for us Time's past will pass without a fuss.
