Pleasure Too Much Poem by Dorsey Baker

Pleasure Too Much

Pleasure too much
is a darker pit
robs the dead grass
of its eternity
the morning of its sunshine
and the storm
of its power to alarm
Pleasure too much
is less thinking and
too much ignorance
robs the spirit of its
freedom to express itself.
