Please Mr. Sandbar Poem by Harlan Lovestone

Please Mr. Sandbar

How can I explain
well maybe I cant
mere words can't actualize the feelings I have
when I see a rainbow or
grassy dew
feelings of grandeur and I think of you
maybe a lifetime is only but a day
spent half in the misery of a bitter rain
or maybe it's corny of just
laughter on the brain
whenever I realize how much people change
we all get older
but we dont get wiser
some of use become sadder
others become misers
but one thing remains the same
please Mr. Sandbar take it away
For that sweet memory in June of '42
please Mr. Sandbar show me how to softshoe again
For that sweet girl I met in June of '42
