Please Help Me, Wise Teacher Poem by Sandra Feldman

Please Help Me, Wise Teacher

Rating: 4.0

I still haven't been able,
To figure out,
Does the poem own the poet?
His feelings and his doubts,
His smile and his frown,
His ups and his down,
His sometimes, melancholic nature,
His dreams newly found.
I really don't know,
All I know with certainty,
Is that Poetry,
Is of all Language,
The most brilliant Crown.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
I dedicate this poem to a distinguished poet, teacher and thinker, Mr. Daniel Brick, who has the patience to read and write about my humble literary fumbles. Daniel, from whom I always learn and makes me feel that writing poetry is not a total waste of time.
You have my forever gratitude. You do me so much honor, thank you.

It takes a special type of person to gift the fruit of their own creativity for it is a rare and precious gift.

Did you see Kelly Kurt's comment: I'm sure your relationship with D. B. is mutually beneficial. What an insight! That's exactly the heart of our relationship. My thoughts which give you so much delight do not EXIST until triggered by the encounter with your poems, and then (changing the metaphor) that mysterious alchemy of minds occurs when your poem becomes my thought and voila there are now two things where there was just one. And we can both trample on the phrase HUMBLE LITERARY FUMBLES because we know our efforts (NEW METAPHOR!) have made a ladder out of words that leans simply on the air we breathe and ascends to - to - I can just barely make out something shining. You look too and together with your poetic words and my critical words we'll be able to describe this place of shining! !

Yes I saw Kelly's comment and his insight does not surprises me for he is tremendously intuitive and also an amazing poet. You're words are very deep and pleasant to me. I am very flatters by them. That my humble fumbles should be able to reach and project such reactions seems incredible to me. Thank you so much! Your beautiful description of our poetic partnership, (may I call it that?) as reaching......this place of shinning..... is pure poetry and delight. You pinned down the place where anyone who wants to create really wants to be......A place of shining....... A phrase so descriptive and ideal you can never forget it.

Neither is owned by the other. It is a symbiosis. The poem helps the poet learn about herself and the poet in return adds to the population of poems. A wonderful tribute to Mr. Daniel Brick. I am sure that your relationship is mutually beneficial
