Playground Poem by Rachel Flint

Playground

Playground

In the playground
Shards of glass
And needles
Form a carpet.

Broken Swings –
The gang is off their faces
Again;
No place for kids.

Tower blocks
Watch over the rec’.
No one cares
What happens here.

Sprayed on the playground wall,
A graffiti artist passes judgement…

‘Welcome to hell’.
