Planters And Sowers (Quatrains) Poem by Cynthia Buhain-baello

Planters And Sowers (Quatrains)

The heart is a storage house of feelings,
Various moods and thoughts that sway and move us.
Like a planter where seeds sprout to being
Seeds of Peace, of Love, or Hate, Disgust.

From childhood those manifold seeds are sown,
And they bear fruits stored in the house, the heart.
They mark identifying lines we've known,
It's who we are and what we may impart.

Children do not grow up with Hate in them
Unless these seeds are planted in their heart.
These may soon become benign or venom,
That too depends on what the sowers start.

Everything is learned. What is instilled in the heart will bear fruit in the actions. A splendid poem.
