Plaeides Pilgrims

By GeorgeHoward 04.2010

One day some strangers passed by this way,
They took stock of our planet, and laid down our DNA.
Then headed back to Pleiades, promising, one day, they’d return.
Leaving us to our own devices, to grow and to learn.
Watching from afar, and pledging no interference,
We started to learn, alright in the first instance.
Respecting our surroundings, the trees and the plants.
Also the animals, from the whales to the ants.
Then along came the industries, a desire to progress.
Mountains of refuse, creating a disgusting huge mess.
The waste became phenomenal, just a disgrace.
We’ve realised too late, with shame on our face.
That we’ve raped the earth, plundering our mother,
And stand toe to toe, now blaming each other.
We now have to face it, for out of time we have run.
As we move through the plane, our enemy the Sun.
Time waits for no one, and the ages have past.
The flares are upon us, we expect the big blast.
If by chance we survive, for it’s not something we’ve earned.
Not realised the consequences, not anything we’ve learned.
Should the volcanoes die down, and flooding abate.
Could we all learn to love, instead of pure hate?
Cast out the money mongers, who seek, obeyance and control.
Build a charter of peace, and would everyone enrol?
I hope so, but fear not, for there’s so many who are blind.
They care just for themselves, and not for mankind.
Looking up to the stars, I just let my mind wander.
Our family from the Pleiades, will they return I ponder.
With hope in my heart, I dream of the outcome we crave,
For our brothers and sisters to come back, our souls for to save.
