Place Of Joy Poem by Katherine Bryce

Place Of Joy

Rating: 4.0

A glistening gray path,
encased on both sides
by emerald green grass.
Golden as the sun, leaves over my head,
with long jagged branches pointing to each leaf.

The way I came from
is marked with my tears,
so now I hope the path I follow,
shows me nothing but joy.
'Joy, ' oh, how I've longed to say that word,
a place of freedom; a place of love; a place of a new beginning; the true desires of my heart will meet me there,
in that place of 'joy'.

A nice poem. Good to know you are heading for a place of joy: a place of freedom; a place of love; a place of a new beginning; the true desires of my heart will meet me there, in that place of 'joy'. So nice!

Thank you very much! I tried my best to paint a visual for this piece. In this one, the visual aspect is everything, so I'm glad it really connected with you :)
