Pink Snow Poem by Matt Mooney

Pink Snow

I am
Blowing
At the gate
Summer soon
See my blooms
Fall as snow
Petals settle
Do not broom
Rain has been
Dripping green
Summer dream
Not my day
Warmer winds
I’ll make amends
Cannot stay
I am April
I am all
Sudden squalls
Sun and run
Enjoy me
Can’t buy me
I am on my way
To May.

and it is April here now! i always think of May as the time for many birds to migrate through the part of New York State in which i grew up. OH! it is only March; i guess i was experiencing wishful thinking! i read a poem which is listed as a 'favorite' of yours on PH, written by an Irishman about his mother calling every couple of weeks to tell him of ANOTHER suicide by a young Irishman. don't the women ever do it? I liked his and i like yours (poems that is) . bri :)
