Pinellas Shores Poem by Gayle Sweeney

Pinellas Shores

Rating: 5.0

The breaking waves wear pure white pinafores
All along this clear blue shimmering shore.
In the sky stardust brushes pines and palms
Gulls glide while the beach sings a quiet psalm.
The moonstruck tides can smoothly bring me back
To where the diamond sea has relaxed
Far out beyond the sandy spot of mine.
There goes an expedition of sunshine!

Pretty as any painting and I want to go there. Those last four lines were just great
