Piety Poem by Dr John Celes

As God is the Most Holy One,
And lives in His abode of Light,
That none is fit to ever see,

And sin is the one thing He abhors,
Which keeps back man in darkness,
And creates a haze with heaven,
Preventing the grace of God and
His blessings and gifts reaching us,

We must live in piety which means
Avoiding sins of every kind
Of thought, word and deed,
And nurture virtues, keep off vice,
Keep the Ten Commandments in life,
Learn the Word and live in accordance,
And fervently pray all life-time.
